someone test with old files (avi wmv and other ) that give problem with firm 2.06+ ?
-
I am very very very curious if the problem of losing lines in the subtitles has been solved.
-
Hi, after installing it on the Q10pro, I experience problems with KODI.
I used the SKIN: Phenomenal that I had set up to access the files from the hard disk , but all shortcuts no longer work?
Have KODI removed and reinstalled but the problem remains, even after restore skin setting from a file?
I have tried different skins but none works?
Someone who experiences the same and knows a solution for this?
Thanks !!
UPDATE: problem found!!
For the installation, the internal hard drive was seen as SDA2, but after installation it was changed to SDB2.
All the shortcuts in the skin have to be adjusted then it will work as it should.
Why HIMEDIA has done this I don't know?

This is not related to this firmware update.

Yep, I am going to hold on installing it, until we hear this has been solved. I have been stuck with 2.0.6 for now....
-
+1 to the previous requests: if not someone else, Futeko please test it:
1. is the subtitle line skipping bug still present?
2. is the playback problem with SD (avi, Xvid) videos still present?
+3. is the audio slip issue on the analogue outputs still present?
They are since 3 firmware updates and again, no sign of fixes in the changelog, so just hoping... Without these fixes these updates are just worthless blown balloons, containing nothing useful for lot's of us, hoping for fixes since more than a half year...
Thanks!

Where is the selection of 10bit colors now

Me too... BTW: Is it difficult for HiMedia programmers to add a dozen lines of code from the version 2.06?
-
Where is the selection of 10bit colors now
Yep, all YCBCR , RGB Settings are gone under Advanced Options.
Only HDR Mode is there
Not nice!
I dont get it why any new FW has new Problem?
-
Muhahaha First Dolby Vision gone, or never been in operation. Then DTS HR gone, now the 10bit options gone the next one will be that there is no HDR left. It won't last long, and it's just chrome on it. And now fucking Spamt himedia full they buy DTS HR licenses. Futeko leads in the thing only cheese on otherwise himedia the fixen would.
-
"New firmware, new problems" Where is the 10 bit image display? I bought this Q10 pro, only because it had this (10 bit) option. In the next update, turn off the possibility of playing movies, there will be no problem!

I normally jump in on the first day of every release but I think I'm going to hold back on this one like you!
There will probably a revised release next week ::)!

Knowing HiMedia's recent attitude regarding since the last couple of updates, that presumption sounds a bit too optimistic...
-
Well the 10bit auto Switch works
My q10pro still auto switches from 444 10bit to 420 depending on Video
But the Option is fully gone!
Ofcourse i will downgrade, Any Player must have this Option for Colorspace , even my 10 Years Popcorn A10 ..
So i only hope its a FW Bug and not the Intention from Himedia

Funny thing is HiMedia's website haven't even posted this update on their own website. I wonder why? Maybe this site is testing before global release?

We are the main source for HiMedia updates (many more people get HiMedia firmware from us than from the HiMedia site) and we were sent this update by HiMedia. Firmware from us is not testing firmware.
I will find out tomorrow (Monday) why the 10bit options have been removed.
-
The 10bit colourspace options can be restored in 2.1.0 by pressing 0 3 5 1 in sequence on the Himedia remote.
I don't know why this setting was hidden and I can't provide more detailed instructions, but the above has been tested and works.
-
Just wondering, is this version come with "double press" on LEFT or RIGHT that can rewind & fast forward 10 second when using "Media Player"?

The one I know so far, that the .srt subtitle line skipping still isn't fixed. Quite enough to ignore the update (again). >:(

Enough reason to stay away from this update, the result of bad programming, cheap R&D and poor customer service on behalf of Himedia. Cheers for Futeko, though.

I just don`t understand some companies like Himedia - they have invaluable source of feedback on this forum, and despite Futeko`s effort to pass it on, they seem to ignore it.... I now have both the Zidoo X9S and the Q5 PRO and I have to say Zidoo is way better on listening to user`s feedback and responding with better firmware.

Hello,
I understand that sub skipping lines is not on the list of fixes, but does anyone test the firmware? It is possible that Himedia fix this issue quietly:)

The subtitle problem has been on the list of bugs we send to HiMedia since 2.0.7.
-
It is possible that they have lost the list. You must push the list in front of them everytime when they fail. Sorry but it's your responsibility too(FUTEKO)....You make commerce with their products...
Thank you for understanding.

I was looking forward to 2.1.0 CFW, But I guess I will have to pass on it, Apparently Himedia has broken yet something else, You can no longer use a custom launcher with Widgets, Try adding a widget and system crashes every time, Himedia you Suck ballz !

The system may just be finnicky. I use Nova Launcher and, after reading this post, went and tried adding a widget to my home screen and it didn't crash. While I normally install firmware using the recommended reset button method, this time I did the soft update, directly from 2.0.6. For me, at least for now, this firmware is working...I had issues with 2.0.7 - 2.0.9 refusing to turn off...when I saw this one had a note addressing that I finally decided to update again. It seems to be working.
-
I dont apply dirty updates, too many problems for me, I run rooted with Xposed framework so clean install is for me, Tried everything no widgets will work

Hi!
We test DTS-HD HRA 5.1 and 7.1 not audio only noise. :-[
thx

-
DTS Hi Res didnt work with some Denon(XX400H devices)/Onkyo devices. Denon pushes it on changed DTS licenses, Himedia pushes it on firmware updates from Denon. If you need DTS HRE, buy an other player(Zidoo etc.) or buy a new AVR. Maybe no Denon. My Yamaha from 2015(RX-A3050) works flawlessly

Just tested DTS-HD HRA 7.1 on CFW 2.1.0 with my Denon avr6200w and it plays just fine. Latest update with my Denon :)

Hi, I have tested the resolution of displayed images: unfortunately there is no change, i.e. we still have only HD resolution when displaying pictures, no UHD!
It's a shame!
-
i have installed this firmware, but i dont have dolby atmos, and dts hd sound now with kodi. how can i fix this? with the 2.0.4 version i had atmos sound and everything in kodi. Who help me for a solution?
-
HD audio isn't working with standard Kodi. You must use the wrapper and use Himedia player. Then you have HD audio.

I am using several video players like, Kodi, MX Player, Archos Player and Himedia Player, all has HD audio (Dolby Atmos) connected to Denon avr 1400H. I am still at v2.0.6 firmware. ;D

Are you sure about KODI? With what KODI version? (Btw. the "simple" Dolby Atmos is still not HD audio, but regardless...)
-
Dolby Atmos is encapsulated in a Dolby TrueHD stream so... is HD.

Actually Dolby Atmos can be encapsulated in a lossy DD+ track as well. Netflix does this for example. Dolby Atmos just means that the audio track contains meta data for the Top, or height speakers. Atmos doesn't always mean HD audio.
