Title: Q5 Pro not updating

Hi, I need help with updating my q5 pro, everything has been working fine but now I have a atmos receiver and speakers installed I presume my firmware is old for it as it is not playing my files with atmos. my specs are

Android 5.1.1
kernal 3.18.24
build HMD-1.09 2016-12-14 190953

I have tried updating to the latest firmware, but every time the android sign boots up it just stops and goes to the Himedia screen.

Any ideas?

You have to upgrade first to 2.0.4 and after that to 2.0.9

Thanks,  I've put 2.04 but 2.09 is not going on, the ring does come up and the progress bar goes all the way, but when It boots up it still on 2.04.

Are you sure you have the version 2.0.9 in the flash drive? You should have one single file called update.zip

Hi, yea it was the wrong file all installed now ,but atmos wasn't still working had a fiddle with the setting,s then read somewhere to press the movie button on the marantz receiver and select atmos. Boom atmos is now working. will be sorting kodi out again sometime today.

I can't get kodi to find my video files now, when it searches smb it's connection times out.

Can anyone help with setup of the box again I have updated to 2.0.9, what steps do I need to take to get this box working again with kodi please.

Does kodi work with a local file from a flash drive? Are you using the internal player or wrapper? If the problem only occurs with network shares read the section in the FAQ about networking

Ok I've made some progress, I've updated Kodi from Google play store and movies have now been found by smb, did have a few problems with ratios but that's sorted.

The only problem I have now is some of the buttons on the remote do not work like before, I used to press the menu button on the movie chosen and I used to get options on trailers and posters/fanart
Also the back button does not work when using Kodi.

For the back button to work again on Kodi :

add ons, then My add ons, then peripheral libraries, then disable joystick support.
