Hi I currently have a Quad Core Q5, and was wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to a Q5 Pro. I usually play files from my hard disk/used to from Kodi.
I just recently ordered a new TV with 4K and HDR 10+ and whatnot, and was wondering if the QuadCore Q5 would be sufficient to playback all the content I intend to play.
I'm guessing I would need to upgrade?

Q5 4K3D or Q5 Quad (the 2014 version) is 4K 30Hz maximum and does not support HDR.
So for UHD (4K 60Hz) and HDR you'd need to upgrade.
Q5/Q10 Pro are much faster in operation and run Android 7, so better app compatibility (including Kodi past version 16).

Thanks for the feedback.
I read in one of the threads that Q5 or Hisilicon chipsets struggle with HDR10 content with some issues. Don't know whether reliable:

Though that was in 2017. Surely any issues that were there have been resolved? Or at least any heads up to any kind of issues that I MIGHT encounter?

I'm not sure what HDR bug is being talked about in that thread.
HiMedia (and HiSilicon products generally) play HDR10 content perfectly.
