Add-ons don't auto update in Kodi. Anyone else having this issue? Also I can't access any repos or get more addons as nothing shows up?
-
I've just answered your email.
Add-ons should work normally. i.e. SYSTEM - Settings - Add-ons - Install from repository.
We had one customer with a similar problem which he resolved by reinstalling Kodi. In Android go Settings - More - Applications - All - Kodi, and uninstall Kodi. Then reinstall it from this link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0f3sbzidd2vlv3z/Kodi_15.1_151000.apk
I don't know why this add-ons quirk happens for some people. It's not common.
-
After a bit of messing around all working now.
-
I have also the error message "Couldn't connect to network server" when I try to install ADD-ONs.
Re-installation of Kodi should help.

and on October 27 you give a link to Kodi 15.1??
Is the HiMedia Kodi 15.2rc1 buggy or can you give a link to it?

Kodi 15.2RC1 as pre-installed on H8 is here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0f3sbzidd2vlv3z/Kodi_15.1_151000.apk
It's not Kodi 15.2 final, so the file name is still 15.1.

Shuld we update to final version of Kodi? I ask it, because you wrote, that here is a special version of Kodi, extra for H8.
If yes, how will it be done the right way? (as normal android apps or something other way)
Thank you!

You can update to latest version Kodi (from Play Store or Kodi site) but you'll lose the custom additions specific to the H8. In practice this means you'll lose HD-Audio, 3D, and some performance.
If you do update and decide you want to go back to Himedia pre-installed Kodi then you can uninstall Kodi (Settings - More - Apps - Kodi - Uninstall) and reinstall the Himedia version, which is here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0f3sbzidd2vlv3z/Kodi_15.1_151000.apk

Thank you for clarification!!!

For me the workaround from MortUK was sufficient to fix this bug:
To fix this..
1, uninstall Kodi,
2, restart your H8
Kodi will reinstall itself with the repo's present.. It's a weird bug in the firmware..
PVR appears to be absent in this build, hopefully it will be back in the next one..
Mott..
Not necessary to reinstall the Kodi apk.
Thank's again MortUK.
