Title: Q10 with torrent client
Post by: David on October 23, 2015, 05:47:45 PM
Hi, I was wondering if it could be possible to install a torrent client (like utorrent) on the Q10 system, and save the downloaded files into the internal HDD.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry no reply yesterday.

Yes it's possible. You can use any torrent client that allows you to specify the download location. I tested a few of the top results for 'torrent' search in Play Store:

uTorrent/ BitTorrent: Cannot specify download location. Riddled with ads.
Flud: Can specify download location! Minimal ads.
tTorrent Lite: Can specify download location! Loads of ads.

Based on that I'd recommend Flud, however there are loads of torrent apps to choose from.

This FAQ question is relevant:

* Drive mount location? All apps except the HiMedia file browser and player use Android file structure. All directories and locations are subdirectories of root, which is symbolised as /. External drives are located at /mnt/sda/sda1 (Q10 internal HDD only) and  /mnt/sdb/sdb1 then /mnt/sdb/sdb2 etc (all USB drives).

Great! Don't worry!

Thank you for your thorough answer.
