Title: SSD adapter
Post by: Ad H on May 16, 2018, 06:37:20 PM
A Simple DIY SSD adapter for the Q10 pro.
Since I use this SSD instead of a mechanical 3,5 inch HDD
there are less software issues during and after the start up of the device.

I read SSH the first time. It is not a bad thing, but large SSDs are quite expensive and not worth using inside a media player. If you have a large enough SSD laying around, then this would be useful. I am using a 1 TB 2.5 inches HDD that I salvaged from an old external USB drive and it has served me well until now. I am watching 3D movies that really stress it the most. I also ripped some of my BluRays with high enough bitrate to have a beautiful image. Good find anyway. Is that 3D printed?

That is why I shifted to a larger capacity (4A) PS. 2A is just not enough for a 3.5 HDD.

That is precisely why I wanted an HDD from an external USB drive. I never used my Q10 Pro with a 3.5 inches HDD. I am using the power adapter that the box came with, I cannot check now the specs.
