Does anyone who has this latest firmware have a problem with the standby light not coming on when you turn the A10 off. I have to turn off the button at the back and turn it on again to get the red standby light to come back on.

For me is working proper, but I already learn to wait Poster 2.0 to finish first scan not to go on your described problem.

Firmware finished downloading perfectly, then stopped and started like normal, but, when i turn the box off with the remote the led panel goes completely blank, no red light, its not a matter of waiting for anything, just a small glitch with my box then, it might get back to normal after a few on and offs with the box.

It works normally here too. Try downloading and reinstalling firmware manually.

I had exactly this problem after the last fw update on an A11 - it seemed to 'fix' itself after a while though but I'm not sure what if anything triggered the change.

It seems it has something to do with turning off before the poster media info has finished updating.
I will raise it direct with Egreat tomorrow and report back here.

Call me stupid or something, but i thought once the box powers down after a firmware upgrade, and then powers back on again, everything was done. Well that is a lesson learned, you would think they would tell you to leave the box powered on for a certain amount of time afterwards, or just put a simple message saying leave it turned on until a countdown timer finishes, if i was not banned from the egreat official forum i would give rita a piece of my mind. Or maybe not. Its no big deal for me really because i like to turn the back power button to off when its not in use.
I would really hope they get the bugs sorted out soon for the android upgrade to 7.1 that will make a big improvement for me, although i have not met any apps yet that have any trouble with 5.1. but that could change going forward.

I would call this a bug. As you say, it should be possible to power the box off at any time without problem, especially when no visible notification is given of a problem if you do.
I haven't been able to get an official reply from Egreat because it's May Day public holiday in China (and many other countries). They should be back tomorrow.
