A couple of questions:
1. I can connect from a MacBook Pro to the HiMedia Q10 Pro via the OS X Finder. In the OS X Finder, I see the video files I put onto a 3.5" HD (Windows 10 NTFS formatted and defrayed after I added my video files under Windows) inside the Q10.
When I try to copy a 1.02GB file into the 3.5" drive, I get a Finder error message "The Item can't be copied because there isn't enough free space". On the Q10, I set the
I CAN copy a file that is less than 1GB.
2. When I try to open Google Store on the Q10, the screen flashes white and does not connect to Google Store. The same thing happens in Chrome.
Than you for any help with these issues.

1. It's a problem / quirk with Q10 Pro's Samba server. See here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=757.0
2. What firmware? If you didn't buy the box from us recently I recommend installing latest firmware from this forum.

Thank you for your prompt response.
The Q10 Pro has Android version 7.0
I don't know where to find the firmware version.

Opening post of our firmware threads. 2.0.8 Q10 Pro: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=3043.0

The Q10 has firmware 2.0.7.
I'm downloading 2.0.8 and will report if it handles the issue.
Thank you.

The update to 2.0.8 does not work. I followed all of the steps:
1. Extract update.zip (using an unzip program like 7zip, winzip etc) from the downloaded zip archive to the root of a FAT32 formatted USB pen drive. (the USB pen drive should contain a single file called 'update.zip'). Note, there is no need to rename anything!
I EXTRACTED THE UPDATE TO A FOLDER I NAMED "update.zip". I ALSO TRIED EXTRACTING THE CONTENTS OF THE UPDATE DIRECTLY TO THE USB ROOT. NEITHER APPROACH WORKS.
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of Q10 Pro.
3. With Q10 Pro turned off, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole UPGRADE button on the back of Q10 Pro (next to the power port).
4. While keeping the UPGRADE button pressed, turn on the Q10 Pro.
5. Q10 Pro will showthe Android 7 coloured circle logo.
6. When you see the circle logo you can release the restore button.
I GOT AS FAR AS #6 ABOVE. THERE IS NO PROGRESS BAR #7, NOR IS THERE A REBOOT. THE Q10 SIMPLY BOOTS INTO 2.0.7.
7. A progress bar will indicate update progress. Do not turn box off or use the box/remote during update!
8. When update is complete the box will automatically reboot.
9. First boot will take 3-5 minutes. The box will reboot into new firmware. Allow boot to complete.
#7 to #9 did not happen.
Any suggestions?

Is there a specific allocation/sector size I soul duse when I format the USB drive in FAT32?
-
The pen shouldn't be larger than 8GB. You're doing the extracting wrong. Open the downloaded file and extract / copy the file update.zip to the root of the pen. You may not see the .zip if the operating system is hiding extensions.

Thank you.
I was able to flash to 2.0.8.
Where could I find how to set up ftp between the Q10 and another computer, preferably a Mac?

I think it as been discussed in the forum, use the search function.

Always good for new users to read the FAQ:

* Install FTP server for faster file transfer? Transfers to Q5/Q10 Pro will be approx twice as fast using FTP instead of built in Samba server. There are many free Android FTP apps in Play Store, 'primitive ftpd' (Android 5.1) and 'Free FTP Server' (Andriod 7) have been tested and works well.

Hi film1010,
Did you fix the playstore white screen issue, and did ftp to your Mac work as I have exactly the same issue on my Q10 delivered yesterday.
Thanks
