Hello everyone,
Happy recent owner of a Q10 pro, I need your help.
I bought this box mainly to watch IPTV. So far so good, it works fairly well.
I want to record some live shows. I'm pretty sure I can't record a channel and watch another one at the same time, but I dont really mind (it would be better of course, but it's not my main problem).
On the few apps that offer recording (I cant get Kodi to work, but that's another issue), I can't change the destination for the recording, they all go to the SD card. Thing is, I have a HDD installed (and active, I can see it in the files manager), and I would like to record on this HDD.
I was thinking that if I manage to install the app directly on the HDD, then the recording destination would naturally be the HDD. Any way to install apps on the HDD ? Thanks...
Of course, if you have any other solution to solve my problem, I'll take them !
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work !

Don't know much about recording, but if the streaming quality is your issue with KODI, that i quote from the FAQ: Stop Kodi 17 streams from stuttering? In Kodi, change settings level to Advanced and go Settings - Player - Videos - Allow hardware acceleration - Mediacodec (Surface): OFF.
I had no mayor issues with KODI 16.1+Simple IP TV and this setting (without it lagged pretty badly). For recording, you may need to install something like the TV Headend add-on.
Some Android apps may really have this limitation to only save to the SD card or internal memory (Android left-over). But particularly not sure. Guess you would have more luck with KODI in this case.

Hi guys,
sorry for the late answer, I couldnt check the website.
@ Mount81 : Since my first message, I downgraded to Kodi 15. I could get it to work then. I couldnt install any PVR on the 17, which I could on the 15. I still did what you suggested, seems to work fine.
@ stl : I can't find "default storage equipment" on the settings, can you give me the complete path ?
Thanks to all of you for helping, I really appreciate !

Which version do you have? Android 5?

Yes, and everytime I try to upgrade, it says there's no upgrade file on my usb device...
