Hi,
I have an issue with any mouse (all bluetooth) I've tried. They all work, but the speed is sluggish.
However, when I try to change 'mouse sensitivity' in the settings, the mouse device is in the 'keyboard' section, so obviously
I can't change the setting.
Is this a know issue ?
I'm using the original 2.07 firmware.
Thanks for any insight

I had the same problem with wireless usb mouse, the issue was causing by another USB connection... Remove all connected USB devices and try...

Thanks for the reply,
unfortunately my problem must have a different cause, because I don't have any USB devices connected.

WiFi can also cause interferences. Try to put it in an open area. I had issues with my wireless USB keyboard with trackpad too. I just put the receiver in from of the box using an extension cable and it started working properly. You should put the TV box in an open area at first, without any electrical devices near it or any furniture as well.

Hi,
I'm not using WiFi either, I'm using Gigabit Ethernet i n all the rooms.
In any case, all the mice I've tried so far work, they are just not 'recognized' correctly in the Android settings.
Since they are recognized as 'keyvoards', I can't change the pointer speed, because 'mouse sensitivity' is not part of the options fro 'keyboard'.
Incidentally, my webcam also 'lives' as a 'keyboard' in the settings.
For me, this is a 'firmware' issue.
Thanks anyway

For sure this is releated to I/O issue, it is difficult to find... but try removing any external devices connected.

Like I said - NO external devices connected - it's a problem with how the mouse is detected by Android - like
-
a physical keyboard - so no option for 'mouse pointer sensitivity' accessible.
Have a look at the attached screenshot...

Even if you are not using WiFi, there is a lot of interferences there from other WiFi, as long as the devices are enabled. Have you tried what I suggested? To check if you still have the problem with direct view to the TV box? In any of the versions of the firmware there never was a mouse pointer sensitivity as on Windows.

Thanks for your reply, but like I said - I don't use WiFi - and there are no other WiFi devices, unless you count in the ones from the neighbours.
Bottom line, their implementation of Android is broken and since I have no reason to doubt you, always has been broken - since 'mouse sensitivity' is not something just limited to Windows, as this link illustrates: https://www.wikihow.tech/Change-the-Pointer-Speed-in-Android (https://www.wikihow.tech/Change-the-Pointer-Speed-in-Android) .
I suppose I'll just give up on using a bluetooth mouse with the built-in bluetooth.
I should have another laser mouse with a 2.4Gh wireless USB connection somewhere, which has adjustable DPI - so I'll try that.
Still Himedia should fix their firmware, but that's probably too much to ask...
Anyway, thanks for trying to help

I can confirm that this is a system level bug on OFW 2.0.6 as well. Juts have tried with my Airmouse and the Sensitivity setting is totally missing from the Settings->More->Input menu. I have the airmouse recognized under the "Keyboard" section as "Hi mouse", but when I click it, it only allows to change the language layout. :???
I can remember that there was a correct way to set the pointer sensitivity in previous firmwares (1.0.9 for sure), but now it's just handles the mouse / airmouse recognition faulty, so there's no option for change it at all. That's a huge drawback. I've just ordered this new airmouse specially to use with this HiMedai Box, so it's really annoying.
Futeko, please inform HiMedai and ask for a workaround or a quick fix regarding the issue.
Thank you!
