I'm italian, but I try to write in English, please, answer me in the simplest English you can, thanks.
I bought a Q10 Pro two months ago from Amazon. When I power on the device, the red icon of power never change to white so the device doesn' t operate. I've downloaded the firmware on a USB key and tried to load it, without success. What can I do?

Hi,
did you change something recently (upgrading firmware, change connected hardware (the remote?))?
Did this happen by using the power button on the device or with the on button on the remote too?
Do you get a video signal over HDMI or analogue?
-
Does the box show any signs of life except the red power LED?
LED display?
Ethernet port LED lighting?
If it shows no other signs of life then it does not look good. Did the box do anything unusual before this happened? Sudden reboot etc?

If the box works intermittently then it might be a PSU problem. You could try a replacement PSU.
If the box came from us email us and we'll send you a new PSU. mail@futeko.com
Otherwise, contact your reseller or buy a new PSU.
* Q5/Q10 Pro PSU type? You can use any 12V 1.5A+ PSU (up to 4A). Tip size is 5.5 x 2.1 with center pin positive.

Perhaps I have not explained enough the situation: There is no problem of power supply, because any time I connect the box to the power supply, it lights on. The only problem is that the red icon doesn' change to white when I touch it or when I act on the remote. It has happened twice, but it doesn't happen any time I want and recently it has happened no more.
Please, help me.

The problem you describe could be a PSU delivering an amperage either variable or only marginally enough for the Q10 Pro to boot.
It would be worth trying a replacement PSU.

Hi faro256.
Sorry for my bad English too.
I hope i can help you. ::)
I had the same problem to get the Q10Pro on Power with Remote.
After 2 Days i give up. Some Days later i read a feedback from a customer on a Sale-Plattform.
The TV Remote from this guy, send no signal to the Q10 Box and not boot or go on. Only the red Light.
The really very simple trick, was to clean the transmitter diode on the top of your Remote with a dry rag.
It is was dirty from the fingers. I clean it and the TV remote turns my Q10 again on.
Incredible, but true. ;D
The transmitter is very sensitive about dirt.
Hope your Problem was solved.
I registered on this forum especially for you. ;)
Greetings from franconia (Germany)

:'(I'm sorry, but neither the remote cleaning nor the new PSU (I've tested two new PSUs, one with 2 A and one with 3 A) have solved the problem. So, as I supposed, there should be another cause of the problem, but I don't know which one. If you can suggest something else, I thank you.

You should try to reinstall the firmware again, it's basically the only thing you can do. Which version do you have and which are you trying to install?
-
I have downloaded the firmware in a file named "upgrade.zip" and I've copied it in an USB key.
I have entered the key in a usb port of the box.
Now I need to know the detailed procedure of firmware reinstall:
1. Have I to connect the box to a TV via HDMI cable or it is not important?
2. Have I to press the upgrade button before to connect the power supply?
3. How long have I to press the upgrade button before and after the power supply connectio?
4. How can I verify the firmware reinstall has finished.
5. Any other information necessary to reinstall the firmware.
All these information should be detailed in an User Manual either on paper or on a website. Why are they not?
Many thanks for your kindness

The firmware I have downloaded is the following:
Q10 PRO FIRMWARE 1.0.1-FUTEKO-EN. 21-APR-2016 (22-MAR BUILD)
Internal build number: HMD-1.0.1 2016-03-22.170326

All the info you need is documented on this forum. Look at the sticky threads at the top, particularly the first one 'Q5/Q10 Pro Official Firmware'. http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=711.0
I'm not sure why you tried to install the 1.0.1 firmware, but it's the first firmware for Q10 Pro from March 2016 (as is very clear in it's title). Depending on what firmware was installed previously it could brick the Q10 Pro.
Before you attempted the update do you know what firmware version you had installed? This is very important for what to do next.

Thank you for your precious information.
Where can I find the firmware version which is installed in my box?

If the box won't boot then there is no way to find out. I thought you might have taken note since all the firmware threads contain instructions relating to which version is currently installed.
You could contact the reseller who sold you the box, they may know which firmware was installed when they sold it.

In the instructions for firmware upgrade, I should "turn on" the box after pressing the Upgrade button.
As the power on button is not operating, how can I complete the upgrade procedure? Is it possible or not?
-
Probably not possible.
You should contact the reseller you bought it from and get the to replace.

Sorry to bump this thread.
I am facing the same issue.
My front panel doesn't respond to anything, and I use it to Power ON the device by touching the red light. All the light are there but nothing responds
But now since the Front Panel is not working I can't turn it ON anymore, unless, I do a reset for firmware upgrade everytime.
So each time the unit gets OFF accidently, or hangs, then it will take me at least 20min to do the a firmware upgrade every time. Cos that's the only method to get the unit to ON.
Anyone facing the same issue?
My remote has died a long time ago so that's why I ON the unit by pressing the Red Light.
Please help. Thank you in advance.

Just an update
Since I cannot use the control panel to ON the machine, I need to every time upgrade the Firmware to ON it. That will take a long time.
So I added a incompatible firmware and do the reset but this time it will ON faster as it doesn't update
This is a way round it. Anyway I'm ok with this.
Thank you
