Title: YouTube version on Q5/10 vs. Play store version
Post by: atkinsom on January 28, 2018, 10:06:00 PM
I noticed that the versions on the himedia box and the play store of YouTube are completely different. There is no update option in the play store but merely an install which installs a separate version of YouTube so that 2 versions exist on the box now. Is the one on the himedia box been modified vs what is in the play store? Any advantages to using the play store version? Thanks for any assistance.

The one pre installed is the Android TV version and the one in the playstore is the mobile version. For the playstore our boxes are tablets, that's why if you want to install any Android TV versions of apps you should download and install the apk yourself for example from apk mirror.

Thank you very much. One quick question...when downloading an app from apk mirror and the app offers arm and arm64 which version should I use for best compatibility? Thanks.
