Hi all,
I've found that Amazon Prime doesn't play on my Himedia Q5 Pro box.
I've spoken to Amazon and they say that my media player isn't compatible.
I thought I would try upgrading the firmware to see if that helps but there's two available that I can see...
Android 7 - firmware 2.0.7
Android 5.1 - firmware 1.1.0
I'm not sure what Android version my Q5 is running (I bought it around April 2017).
And I wondered if either of these new firmware's solves the problem of Amazon Prime not playing movies?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
:-)

So, are you saying that there's no way of watching Amazon Prime on my current Himedia Q5 Pro box??
Because Amazon don't support Android?
I really hope that's not the case :-[

Android box TV are not Android mobile so is true Amazon mobile apps doesn't supported read logcat and will see.
If you want try install a CFW v2.0.4/2.0.5/2.0.6(I don't remember if can use OFW) and temporally remove television hardware feature from /system/etc/permissions/tablet_core_hardware.xml will get Amazon prime play on SD. For play HD with Amazon mobile apps need DRM playready and a licensed device.
Are already some topic about android.hardware.type.television on this forum.
