Hey Guys
I have been trying to learn the codes to the AK86 remote from my Panasonic and Denon remote, i have tried this quite a few times to learn the Power on the TV remote and the volume on the Denon amp remote with no luck.
I have followed the user manual for the remote found here
http://www.mediafire.com/file/k3xuquxkv928g7h/EGREAT_AK86_USER_MANUAL.pdf
Just wondered if anyone else has had problems learning codes to the remote
Thanks

It does work. The user manual is in pretty rough Chinglish, maybe that's the problem.
1. Press and hold OK key in learning key area of AK86 until the AK86 indicator light is solid red.
2. Press the key in learning key area of AK86 that you want to program. The AK86 indicator light will flash rapidly.
3. Point the IR transmitter of your TV/AVR remote at the IR transmitter of the AK86. Press the button on the TV/AVR remote that you want to replicate. The indicator light on AK86 should flash slowly 3 times then back to solid red.
4. Press any key on AK86 outside of learning key area to exit learning mode.

Thanks for the reply
That's exactly what i am doing as you have described
I took the remote to my friends house last night to try it on his TV as all my TVs are Panasonic, it managed to learn the command for his Sony TV.
So it looks like it wont except codes from Panasonic TVs and Denon Amplifiers.

At what stage in the instructions above does it appear to fail? i.e. does stage 3 seem to work correctly?

You can try 2 things:
- Check that they are aligned on very short distance and that there is no interruption on the IR signal.
- Try shorter or longer grabbing of the IR signal. Specifically Power On/Off may require a long signal.
