Hi
I have Android 7.1 and new firmware 2.0.6
When I watch films 4K UHD HDR with HDD disk films often cuts. The sound often cuts too- it is normal?
Where can the problem be?
-
Is it from a MKV file or from an ISO? Maybe it is from a folder containing an ISO structure. Are you using the HiMediaPlayer/Wrapper or Kodi internal player? Are you using official firmware?
-
Android 7.1? You have a different version of android and v2.0.6 like me? ;)
-
Most films I have .mkv but .iso also cuts.
Use Media Center and HDD connect with HiMedia - no WiFi
Files size about 45-60 Gb and non stop problem :( - forma HEVC, Resolution 3840x2160 23,97fps
I thought to change on Android 5 but it probably will not solve problems.
@hanspampel:
Sorry
Android version 7.0 no 7.1 firmware 2.0.6

Have you tried a better quality HDMI cables? It is a common issue with UHD and cheap cables.
Is the output from your Q5Pro going to an AVR first or directly to the TV?
Have you updated firmware on AVR and TV? I have seen in other forums where this can also help UHD video issues.

I was thinking about what you wrote about the cable.
I have Wireworld island 7
http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=73
between 30 - 42 s slow motion, delicate cuts
My hi media is connect with AVR Onkyo 646 6

Ok, so you have two HDMI cables in use and one or both may be causing your video issues.
Try replacing/swapping them and see if this makes any difference? The Onkyo should be passing through the video signal ok to the TV.
