Hi,
I have had a Q10 now for about 1 and half years.
It suddenly one day went crazy. When I switch it on it keeps showing the Himedia logo then resetting.
This happened about 3 weeks after updating to Android 7.
Since then I have tried :
- Reinstalling Android 7 using reset pin
- Downgrading using the 7 - 5 zip.
When I first reinstalled after downgrading it worked for an hour. I then switched it off. Went to bed and next day same problem.
Installed latest Android 5 zip.
Again. IT worked for a bit then next day (today) same problem. Reinstalled same zip (latest Android 5) and getting same problem. Starts up. Shows logo then resets in a loop.
Is the Q10 nuffed?

It doesn't sound great.
If you're on Android 5, try installing firmware 1.0.7. It will repartition internal flash.

Thanks for quick response.
Will try that now and let you know results.

OK I tried with that version and same thing.
Himedia logo appears for a split second and it restarts.
Is there anything else I can try?
never had any issues until I installed Android 7. Bit annoyed.

Your power supply could be the culprit, it could have bad capacitors and when the box uses more current the psu fails. Try another one

OK that sounds like a possible answer. I have a variable vault power supply laying around will try it.

@stl that was a good call.
I have a power supply which adjusts is voltage depending on drain. PLugged it in. Button reset method. Its just all installed and ran ok.
Will give it until tomorrow and some good testing and come back with results.
@futeko
If it turns out to be the power supply do you actually sell these separately? I have looked over site but cannot see any.

We sell the European PSU + CP1 fused UK adapter for all UK orders.
If you order this we'll include a CP1 adapter: http://www.futeko.com/products/AC112.php
Or we do have some of the original UK PSU if you'd prefer it. Email us: mail@futeko.com

I have a very similar issue here and it has just happened now, and several other times in the past : the q10 crashes while running an app ( I was using spotify a few minutes ago ), and I have to turn it off by removing the plug. Then it restarts as if I had just installed the firmware from scratch and all my apps and settings are gone.
It has happend both with Android N firmwares ( now I'm running cfw 2.0.5 ) and with Android 5 firmwares ( 1.0.8 and 1.0.9).
I wonder wether the cause might be the same. In that case I would try buying a new PSU from you.
Thank you
Giacomo

You can of course buy a PSU from us, but any PSU with correct specifications will work. Specs are:
12V 1.5A+ PSU. Tip size 5.5 x 2.1 with center pin positive.
e.g, a cheap compatible PSU for Italy: https://www.amazon.it/JOYLIT-AC110V-240V-Adattatore-alimentazione-Trasformatore/dp/B071RBK512/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1513175337&sr=8-7&keywords=12v+psu+5.5+x+2.1

I had the same problem.
My player worked for 1 year without any problems.
After the Q5 Pro ran cleanly for weeks with (Firmware 2.06) , it was rebooted for no apparent reason and started in the factory state.
Previously I only updated Kodi (17.6) and Youtube for Android TV (2.02.08) to the latest version.
Does anyone have an idea, don't want to lose all my data again?
Cheers.
