Title: Himedia XBMC Wrapper acting strange on Q5
Post by: diessemme on September 13, 2015, 08:10:17 PM
Hi all,

a couple of weeks ago suddenly the Wrapper, on my Q5, didn't work "at first" anymore. I mean, in order for it to work, first I have to play a file (any file) in "Media Center" and only then I can open kodi and play whatever files I want (also more than one) using the Wrapper. If I do not follow this procedure I get an infinite loop with the wrapper trying to launch.

I thought that an upgrade could solve the problem, but even with the last firmware I still have the same issue.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot, D.

Where are the files located? The Kodi wrapper supports only local files and non password protected network shares. If you're playing files from a password protected share you may get the behaviour you describe.

Thanks a lot.
This can be a good answer indeed, since I recently set a password for the share connected via samba.
By the way I cannot understand the reason why, after I, let's say, "initialize" the player via the Media Center, kodi and the wrapper work pretty well.

Thank you,
D.
