Q5 4K3D 12-NOV-2014 FIRMWARE. HMD-1.0.6 2014-11-12.133150

THIS FIRMWARE IS FOR EUROPEAN Q5 4K3D (MANUFACTURED AFTER OCTOBER 2014) ONLY. DO NOT TRY AND FLASH IT TO OTHER REGION Q5 4K3D OR Q10 4K3D.

Changelog:

1. Fix Youtube (also fixes related Google Play Services errors).

Includes HMD-1.0.6 2014-11-06.161. Changelog:

1. Change the ICON of BoxSetting
2. Fix the issue that cannot change TIME ZONE/LANGUAGE/INPUT METHOD
3. Delete the chinese weblinks in the Browser

Installation Instructions:

1. Copy update.zip to the root of a USB pen drive.
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of the Q5 4K.
3. With the Q5 4K turned off, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole restore button on the side of the Q5 4K (next to the USB ports).
4. While keeping the restore button pressed, turn on the Q5 4K.
5. The Q5 4K will show an Android droid logo and proceed to upgrade the firmware.
6. The box will auto-reboot when finished.

This is the English version of the firmware. I have a Chinese version of the firmware. I can not install this firmware. How to Make a Chinese to English firmware?

I don't think it's possible. The chinese version of the Q5 / Q10 4K use different internal hardware.

Chinese firmware shouldn't be installed on European Q5 / Q10 and vice versa.

Is it possible. I had an English firmware 1.0.4 in stock. Then flashed to 1.0.6 Chinese, pierced gradually: 1.0.2 Chinese, 1.0.4 Chinese, 1.0.6 Chinese.

If you have firmware 1.0.7 English - so must be the Chinese version 1.0.7? Is not it? Where to get it?

Ask the retailer you bought the box from or HiMedia directly.
