Title: No audio in SD DVD rip,ISO,MKV.
Post by: TomKajzar on November 20, 2017, 11:50:26 PM
I figure out following problem.

I used last android 7 firmware.

I noticed in any ISO MKV,VOD  ripped, copied from DVD no any audio pass thru output on HDMI in HiMedia player in for format DD, DTS, PCMA
I have connected player by HDMI directly to external AV receiver. It's not depend in which software MKV, ISO is created.
All such files work Ok on PC and my old LG450.

All my HD, UHD  titles seems go OK.

As have have 2 the same movies at DVD and BD I try combine audio, video from that both sources.
source from:
VIDEO                         AUDIO            PCM,DTS 5.1,PCM 2CH
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DVD                             BD                    no audio
DVD                             DVD                 no audio
BD                                BD                    OK
BD                                DVD                 OK

The same issue is with many movies from internet. What to do with my old DVDs rip and titles doesn't exists in HD UHD format?

Even copied VOB files directly from DVD have the same problem

So seem splitter doesn't separate audio to HDMI in case video is in SD format.

Any idea?

Please advise what Audio settings you are using and if this audio issue occurs with playback using Media Center as well as Kodi?
What version of Kodi are you using?

I have following Audio setting:
HDMI Output: RAW
SPDIF Output: CLOSE
HBR Degrade Output: RAW 7.1

KODI is V 17.1 - Krypton

Issue occurs with both players.

Problem has been solved by device Factory reset.
