Hey,
Got my Q5 Pro today, with 2.0.6, and Kodi 17.5.
I was going to use Kodi's Video Cache feature, described here, http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO%3AModify_the_video_cache (http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO%3AModify_the_video_cache) because of possible Wifi in the near future.
It works fine with MKVs as long as I use Kodi Player. When I start a video the server immediately pumps out +100 mbps to the Q5, before settling down when the cache is filled up.
But when I play the exact same file with Kodi+Wrapper, it seems the cache-function isn't working.
I guess this is how its supposed to be. :(
Question: Can the Wrapper-cache be changed somehow?
Thank you! :)
Br, Daniel

When using the wrapper you are playing video using HiMedia's mediaplayer app, not Kodi's internal player. So settings for video playback in Kodi are irrelevant and ignored.
The relevant settings are the Android system and Himediaplayer settings.

Could you describe where to find these settings?

Cache settings for Himedia player (or wrapper) are sadly not configurable.

Are you saying that ALL Kodi settings are ignored when playing a video using the Wrapper :o?
If so, why have we been told many time on this forum what settings to make?
