Title: 4GB Flash storage?
Post by: pink_room on August 20, 2015, 11:27:19 PM
Hi,
I recently bought the "Himedia Q10 Quad" and I'm a little bit worried about where are 8GB flash storage of my android box because I found only 4GB:

I look at Kodi: System -> System Info -> Storage -> / storage / emulated / 0--> 3,8GB  (Or in Settings -> More -> Storage-->  3,77 GB)

So I'm wondering where are the other 4GB from flash storage!

Regards!

The Q10's 8GB internal flash is split into 3 partitions.

Two partitions under INTERNAL STORAGE in Settings - Storage @ 1.94GB and 3.71GB. Total 5.65GB.

And one hidden partition which contains the Android OS and pre-installed apps, taking up the rest (approx 2.4GB).

So total free space at the beginning should be ~ 5.65GB.

Thanks for the reply futeko! Ok that's what I see, two partitions in setting/storage: 1,94GB and 3,77GB, sorry I forgot to mention the other one.

I had read in other forum that the Q10 takes about the half of storage for the android kernel an apps, like you say. But to compare I asked another Q10 user and told me he saw two 3,8GB partition in Kodi system info/storage, wierd! no?
