Title: Q10 Pro won't recognize ANY remote
Post by: Angus66 on August 25, 2017, 11:20:47 PM
Tried to turn on my Q10 Pro yesterday with the supplied remote and it wouldn't turn on.
Changed the batteries out and still nothing.

Tried the Hi-Control app on my phone which worked last time I used it & it didn't work either.

Tried my Logitech remote that has the Q10 programmed into it - nothing.

Unit works fine using the front panel controls though.

Anyone know what might be wrong?

Sounds that you got a faulty remote, mine works as it should, however simplistic it might be. But i use a mouse and keyboard most of the times!

Did you not read my post?

I have several remotes in addition to the one that came with the unit plus the HiControl app on my phone and suddenly NONE of them can control the Q10 Pro.

Until just recently ALL of them worked just fine.

I can't imagine that all these control devices suddenly failed at the same time.

There's obviously something wrong with my Q10 Pro but what?

You can try to reflash the firmware.

It's very strange that HiControl wouldn't work. If you hadn't said that then I would have suspected a faulty IR transmitter, but IR has nothing to do with HiControl. Do USB control devices (mice/keyboard) work?

As Mount81 has said, in the absence of any proper diagnosis I would advise reflashing the firmware. If it works then it will eliminate a hardware fault as the source of the problem.
