Hello!
So, as the 'stock' subtitle font type set of the HiMedia Player isn't the most practical and readable that I have seen, i would request for additional support of alternatives. What would be the best, is to have support for both external and embedded .ssa and .sup formats as well in HiPlayer. So one could fully customize the subtitles font types (look, feel, readability) in any subtitle editor, regarding their personal preference and could than easily load them as external subtitle within the HiPlayer as well. I know some other players might support these formats, but i would (and will) prefer the HiPlayer all over the others.
.ssa format subtitles can be loaded, but they're just displayed with the HiPlayers 'stock' font type, so all the customization and benefits are missing.
Embedded .sup subtitles are already displayed well in HiPlayer, that's why it's a sad surprise that they aren't even recognized (listed) when trying to load them as an external subtitle file to the video. Both features implemented would be a very nice upgrade and I think they are very reasonable to consider!
Thank you!

UP! Futeko, could you inform us regarding the chances of realization of these requests and transmit this request to HiMedia please?!

I agree that a development is necessary for a better readable subtitle for Himedia subtitle function.
For example, current yellow subtitles are not readable on white scenes as you can see below option 1.
Cannot we do like option 2?

I would like more something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ipng7ue962a7vvo/Subtitle%20Shadow%2C%20Outline.JPG?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ipng7ue962a7vvo/Subtitle%20Shadow%2C%20Outline.JPG?dl=0) It's a .sup subtitle with Arial font type, shadow set to 4 and outline to 4.
And also this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9utywwp4q5o2nw3/Subtitle%20Arial%20TM.JPG?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/9utywwp4q5o2nw3/Subtitle%20Arial%20TM.JPG?dl=0) this is the same, but with Arial Unicode MS font type set to Bold.
Also I would like to have more color shading option, like change it from plain white to a bit darker white (but not totally grey), like with color code F6F6F6, or similar.: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjzta4yr7r77ggz/Subtiltle%20colour.JPG?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjzta4yr7r77ggz/Subtiltle%20colour.JPG?dl=0) and https://www.dropbox.com/s/682fahqgjuztgbe/Subtitle%20colour%202.JPG?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/682fahqgjuztgbe/Subtitle%20colour%202.JPG?dl=0)
Futeko, can I have some feedback?!
