Title: Removing or decreasing black bars in aspect ratio with wrapper
Post by: flydini on August 23, 2017, 10:31:01 AM
It is possible to decrease the top and bottom black bars as much as we want when the resolition is not full screen, like 1920x800 via Kodi player.
But with the wrapper no choice other than full screen ( objects seem very slim and tall) or original aspect ratio. With Android 7 and 2.04 fw, is it possible to make the black bars smaller ( inbetween full screen and original aspect ratio) ?

It's not possible with Himediaplayer, you have to use Kodi or another player.

OK. Will it be possible with future updates? Is it hardware based or software based?

Because we had a new Himediaplayer app in 2.0.4 I don't see a change like that happening soon because it would require a further big change to Himediaplayer.

It's purely software. Kodi player or MX player will zoom in the way you want.
