Hi,
I have a strange issue with the external wrapper of my himedia q10 pro.
Kodi Version 17.4 RV
android 7.0
build hmd-2.0.1 2017-01-10.164949
If i start kodi and play a movie with the external player nothing is happening.
If i play a movie via mediacenter, shortcut to my nas, click on the same *.mkv file it plays with the external videoplayer
Anymone what goes wrong and how to solve the issue in Kodi?

No one knows?

Re-install the wrapper. If MediaCenter plays fine, it is the wrapper not working right for you.
There are quite a few threads here about the wrapper. Start with the FAQ.
I'd suggest upgrading to 2.0.4 and that may fix your problems as it gives new wrapper as well.
-
1. re-installed the wrapper version 1.0.1_hmd_1229_release ==> no difference
2. upgraded first to 2.0.3 FUTEKO. HMD-2.0.3 2017-04-12.095905
3. upgraded to 2.0.4 FUTEKO. HMD-2.0.4 2017-07-05.174159
4. Updated kodi from 17.1 (came with the version 2.0.4.) to 17.3 (via play store)
Problem still the same... :-\ :'(
Via mediacenter movie plays with videoplayer
Via kodi nothing happens
anyone can help me out here.
Thanks in advance,
Bianca

The version of the wrapper you're using is old and not meant for Android 7. Where did you get it from?
This is latest 1.0.3 wrapper for Android 7: http://www.mediafire.com/file/0h22goov27x9bk6/Wrapper-1.0.3_HMD_0411.apk
-
sorry i forgot to write :
also the latest wrapper is installed : xbmcwrapper_1.0.3_HMD_0411_Release, Got it from www.mediafire.com/?kvlryqpyzcac3.
Is that a wrong version?

The version I linked to is extracted from 2.0.4 official firmware:

It is the correct version. It should work.
I suggest clearing data for both wrapper and Kodi (will wipe Kodi settings) then toggling wrapper off/on in wrapper app.
Settings - More - Apps - find 'Wrapper' and 'Kodi' - Force stop > Storage clear data > Storage clear cache.
-
1. froced stopped wrapper and cleared data (clear cache is done automatically)
2. forced stopped kodi and cleared data (clear cache is done automatically)
3. started wrapper again
4. played movie through media center it works and i see on my display of the receiver dts and it how shows that 5 speakers are active
5. played movie through kodi by play using: what is see is then 4 rows:
wrapper (default)
Wrapper
Videoplayer
Videoplayer
If i choose the first row : wrapper (default) i see only videoplayer and nothing happens
clicking on the return key on the remote i got the message : external player active
If i use the videoplayer i see on my receiver display : PCM and it shows only 2 speakers are active

Can you post the content of /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/playercorefactory.xml?
Easiest method using a PC:
- Enable Samba sharing on Q5/Q10 Pro (Settings - More - SAMBA Service - Enable)
- Navigate to Q5/Q10 Pro on a PC and then to /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/playercorefactory.xml

How are you doing the firmware reinstalls? via system menu or restore button on back of Q10 Pro?
If not restore button method then give that a go with 2.0.4 FW.
If that doesn't work then you could try going back to 2.0.1. 2.0.1 is the last FW to re-partition and format the Q10 Pro during firmware install process. If 2.0.1 works OK then update through 2.0.3 to 2.0.4.
It's basically impossible that your box has a hardware fault that results in only the wrapper malfunctioning, so there must be a config problem lurking in the background.
-
i updated the box using the pinhole UPGRADE button on the back.

It is working again:
Running versions now:
2.0.1 FUTEKO. HMD-2.0.1 2017-01-10.164949
kodi 17.0 RC2
Wrapper-1.0.1_HMD_1229_Release
Which order should i update and what?
I'm also confused about my sound/av receiver:
Playing with himediaplayer i see info of sound and active speaker of my av receiver (see pic 1)
Playing with videoplayer is see info sound and active speaker of my av receiver (see pic2)
What is the difference exactly?

Install firmware 2.0.3 (http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1865.0) then 2.0.4.
Official or custom 2.0.4 are OK. I recommend installing pcristi's custom version. See here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=812.0
The top picture is 5.1 DTS, the bottom picture is 2 channel PCM. I don't know why your AVR says DTS NEO:X, because the input graphic clearly indicates the input is 2 channel. The picture shows what would be expected with firmware 2.0.1 and a 5.1 source. If you install pcristi 2.0.4 you will get 5.1 passthrough from any version of Kodi using native player.

thanks for explanation.
Should i update kodi as well and to what version?

See if it works with pre-installed Kodi first then update. Updating Kodi to latest version shouldn't make any difference to how the wrapper works.

i was too excited. Updated from workking FW 2.0.1 to FW 2.0.3 and the wrapper did not work anymore. I also saw that the firmware said 2.01 :-\
Installed again FW2.0.1 and still the himediaplayer isn't working now i got the error "mont failed" within kodi and through mediacenter the external player is working :-\ :'(
Strange thing is also that connection with NFS to my NAS is also not working.
Do you accidentally know if i can bring the device to someone for help.
I live in Amsterdam.

If the firmware version in About on box said 2.0.1 then you haven't completed the 2.0.3 installation. Instead you've done a factory reset, by doing which it is possible to mess up wrapper setup.
You need to do a successful 2.0.3 then 2.0.4 install and I'm, sure wrapper will be working.
I don't know anywhere in Amsterdam who could sort this out for you. If you are our customer and it's under warranty then you could return by mail. Email mail@futeko.com.

Sorry to disapoint you but finally i managed to update the box with pcristi's custom version 2.0.4.

the wrapper is working through the mediacenter but within kodi i get the message "mount failed"

Not our customer. :( You could try contacting your reseller for advice? ;D
Kodi 17.4 rc1 is a beta and they hadn't updated the splash graphic yet. Look in Kodi settings for accurate Kodi build number.
Not sure re mount failed problem but it doesn't belong in this thread.

Kodi 17.4 RC1 is become release version on 10 Aug 2017, this version have updated splash to 17.4 RC

a few minutes ago i managed to solve the issue:
On my qnap nas :
enable smb guess read login and on the q10pro in the wrapper menu i reset the account. Parently it must be empty.
I test it. If i fill in the samba credentials the wrapper isn't working.
In settings - playback :
hdmi output : raw
spdif output : close
HBR output : raw 7.1
In Kodi :
Passthrough and al the other options also on yes
Everything is working except the custom version it is hanging a lot of times :-\
