Title: dropping internetspeed Q10 PRO FIRMWARE HMD-2.0.4 (cfw)
Post by: insomniac on August 03, 2017, 03:52:43 PM
Hello to all,

The previous firmware 2.0.3 ( custom firmware Pcristi) always boosted a 300Mbps connected to cable when i tested it (speedtest app).
Untill  i upgraded to 2.0.4 ...... I noticed dropping internetspeeds.  I tested several times and there was a lot of difference.
Worst was around 50Mbps. So i hooked the cable up my laptop and a flawless 300Mbps each time

So i decided to go back to 2.0.3 and it was around 300Mbps all the time.

So i wonder if any of you noticed the same strange fluctations in internetspeed with the 2.0.4 firmware ?

Kind regards M

Same problem here. Bad speed on 204. Had to revert back to 203.

There have been several reports of lower speeds on 2.0.4 compared to previous firmware (see 2.0.4 firmware threads).

It was reported to HiMedia soon after 2.0.4 release so hopefully they'll improve it in next firmware.
