Possibly something wrong with your settings.  Wrapper (and Media Center) still play TrueHD & DTS-HD MA 7.1 without problems.
Can you play your file with just Media Center?  If so, it is possibly the wrapper settings.   If not, check the Audio settings.
Remember, a full upgrade resets all settings, including Country,  Time, Audio & Video.

Where are you playing the video from and using which app?

True-HD and ATMOS should play without problem in Himediaplayer or Kodi+wrapper.

Settings in Settings - Playback should be:

HDMI Output: RAW
HBR Output: RAW7.1

Same issue here. Stopped working after 2.0.1 if the hardware is not TrueHD compatible. Using my AVR in the living room (TrueHD is supported) the audio works fine. But my second player in the bedroom is attached just to my TV. Since the MKV doesn't contain the AC3 core I get no sound (which wasn't a problem in 2.0.1).

Problem is I don't want to go back to 2.0.1, because if I do so the HDR ratio bug would be back...

Use your second Player with native kodi Player should solve the Problem ...

Works fine with HD content. Stuttering when playing back UHD content. So no option either...

Hi, have the some problem. With FW 2.0.1 TrueHD works fine over the media player.
When I upgraded to FW 2.0.4 there is no sound only a picture.

Settings:
HDMI Output: RAW
HBR Output: RAW7.1

Hi, have the some problem. With FW 2.0.1 TrueHD works fine over the media player.
When I upgraded to FW 2.0.4 there is no sound only a picture.

Settings:
HDMI Output: RAW
HBR Output: RAW7.1

So I have time to test it again.

I'm back to FW 2.0.1 with following settings I became sound with every file.
Auto/Auto & Raw/Raw5.1

Then I updatet to FW 2.0.3
I have no sound with above-mentioned settings for TrueHD Files!
So I have tested every settings but no sound for TrueHD  >:(

For sound I have the Yamaha YAS 207. I also connect the box only to my Philips 7101.

To get TrueHD, as suggested, you should really be using RAW7.1 output.

Your main issue would appear to be the Yamaha YAS 207 soundbar does not decode Dolby TrueHD (as it is not shown at all in specifications, only DTS-X for "surround Technology").  Your TV will certainly not be capable of decoding TrueHD audio.
Stick to AC3 or DTS with your system (or upgrade to a better soundbar/AVR that can decode full audio like the YSP-2700).

Firmware 2.0.4 passes HD audio fine for TrueHD 7.1, DTS-HD MA 7.1 and PCM 7.1 using HDMI to a Yamaha Aventage 7.1 AVR.

Thx for your comment.
So the FW 2.0.4 can not decode the signal like in the FW 2.0.1?

I'm still on fw 1.0.9, but I give it a guess from the previous posts, what could have happened: Your AVRs/Soundbars are not True-HD capable.  But it was still able to decode the "relay" AC3 (DD) track in the video. Maybe there's some trouble with "auto" detecting the AC3 audio track after the firmware update to 2.0.4. While Playing a Video, push menu on remote and Switch the audio track to the AC3 one.

Same with DTS-HD. I guess you will able to switch the track to the "simple" DTS core track manually.

Tho' it's still just a guess, might worth a try.

For the real HD audio you will still need a compatible AVR or Soundbar.

Unfortunately it was not. Still no chance without an AVR. Pretty annoying when I want to watch a movie just with a TV... Are you guys even working on the issue? An update from your side would be fine...

And as info: No, the AC3 core is not available in the MKV. But this was not a problem at all in FW 2.0.1

Not sure what your problem is?
TrueHD 7.1 passes fine via HDMI using latest firmware 2.0.5 (and Kodi 17.4 using wrapper gets same result).  It has done so since the original firmware upgrade last year.

You can't pass HD audio with optical, only HDMI.
If you are trying to send TrueHD to a TV, it won't work without converting the audio to something your TV can handle.
Are you sending audio to an AVR first?

Can you confirm that the device you're sending audio to is capable of decoding True-HD?

Or are you playing True-HD and expecting it to be downmixed to PCM or AC3?

That's exactly what I would expect. Downmixing to PCM or AC3. That's probably what firmware 2.0.1 did.

Back then it was like this:

Device is capable of True-HD -> Passthrough of True-HD stream (unconverted)
Device is not capable of True-HD: Downmix to PCM or AC3 (not sure what it was)

Not sure why this feature was removed. Seemed to make perfect sense to me. I only use HDMI output.

I've also encountered this problem. I use the HDMI output to TV with a soundbar connected to the TV's optical output. I think neither my TV nor the soundbar can decode TrueHD71. Pretty much every other sound codec works ok. However, Kodi 17.1 will. Selecting the Kodi player before starting the movie enables the sound to be heard. I only have a few sources that use this codec but I would guess it'll get used more often in future so I will be converting them to AC3. The free program Ffmpeg with Avanti gui for windows can do it, leaving the video component untouched and taking about 10 minutes for a two hour video.

Have a try, and set HDMI output to PCM.

This is my exact issue right now. UHD iso(s) played just fine, HDR and all, but every movies with TrueHD got stutter badly during playing.  Save for buying a whole new AVR just to decode passed-through TrueHD audio from the player, how can I play 2.0 audio using my Q10Pro?

This problem persists in firmware 2.0.6.
The PCM output of TrueHD tracks is still broken.

Any ideas on when the fix will be done?
