Check out the review, seems to be a step backwards in my opinion.

It has a cheaper SoC as in our Q5/Q10 Pro. So no need to buy it. ;) Btw. wrong section.

The new HiSilicon chipset used is a cut-down version of Hi3798CV200 used in Q5/Q10 Pro.
It lacks 7.1 audio and the GPU is weaker.
We will not be selling Q30, but I would expect retailers to price it at ~ 25% less than Q5 Pro.

I'll leave this thread in this section for a while before moving it to other media boxes.

For the record, there is no bluetooth as well. It seems the price is high for what it contains. There are better alternatives out there.

HIMEDIA Q30 BRICK ... HELP ME !!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Well today Himedia post on their website firmware 2.05. Now the time seetings cannot be saved on this box in addition to other non working things such as:
Google play services update is forced by google for the you tube apk in the store and then once logged out of google account the google play store account app stopped working - Not fixed
The you tube apk installed in the box cannot play CNN live and Fox news live streams on you tube.
Now time settings are wrong and cannot be stored by the box
OTA is not working for updates (why this function exists is beyond me, these media players suppliers promote it but never have it working)
Goodness knows what els is not working on this box.
My Q5 pro has some of the similarities of problems described above.
