Am trying to access my PC through Media Centre, like I use to do before upgrade.
I go to LAN/NAS
Auto search which picks up the PC
Asks for Login and password. Where do I find this. Using Windows 10 .
Tried every think. Just get a blank screen with LAN on it.
Thanks if can help .

Have you enabled guest browsing on your PC? Are there any shares available? On Windows 10 sharing without a password is not easy to define.

Windows networking can be painful until you get it connected the first time.... then all seems to work fine.
Suggest you:- ensure your HiMedia is given a fixed IP address from your router.
- ensure any firewall/anti-virus software has the IP address as being part of the local network
- If using a NAS, ensure it is publicly viewable on your local network
- make sure you have switched on Samba on the Q5/10 Pro (as this makes it viewable from the network and seems to help
Once you can find "Android_xxxxx" in Windows 10 Network/Share/ (as well as your NAS) you should be able to see the NAS from the LAN search.
Have you tried to find your NAS from Kodi or another app?

I find that shares are broken if SMBv1 is disabled on the computer being browsed to.
This is something that really needs to be fixed ASAP, due to the security flaws of SMBv1.
