I was happy to discover the wall poster app, but it doesn't work for me, only shows my ISO files (have maybe ten of these from a library of thousands.
nothing helps. funny thing is ALL TYPES are turned on, but there is no ISO type.... only IFO/VOB
any ideas on how to fix it it's unusable otherwise (most of my files are MKV which is on the first checkboxes row of wall poster settings -> File types.
-
After running wallposter app do you definitely have all the checkboxes unticked?
It works OK here for me.
-
I have all the checkbox ticked (of the filetypes) what do you mean "unticked" ?
-
The checkboxes are to exclude / hide file types.
This is why you are seeing hardly any files..
-
yup, I didn't see the "HIDE".... kind of a weird title
however, after I'm seeing now all files....:-)
1/ what is the "Automatically Hide the number of 0 classification" ?
2/ problems aggregation - I use TV series as example, season 1 seems to be collated into one entry from each you can choose (very nice), however season 2-3 - separate files
3/ problems recognition - sometimes it matches incorrectly for some episodes both in image and description
see print screens
-
this is a good example of collation (season one of blackish
-
here it is another season of blackish (s02) but it gets identified as another series
-
IMHO you will be much better off using Kodi, SMPC or Archos for library function. They are all seasoned software and work well compared to the very basic wallposter provided. You are always going to get mis-matches depending on the information provider. A lot of TV series are best to check spelling and have a year included in the folder title;
e.g. Black-ish (2014) should be used for your series.

I use Kodi for my two network drives and HDD inside the Q10, these are the permanent places of my movies/series
but koi can not play in 4K for example.... is there another app that can play in 4k ?
-
I seee that SMPC is potentially capable of playing 4k files, ill try it soon. thanks for the advice.
-
or even better since i am used to kodi (and like it a lot ) is there an option to play 4k there? (I think not)
-
there is no option for Kodi to play 4k files, and just tried your other suggestions SMPC - also maxed out at HD level. any other suggestions?
-
Other users here have successfully tested and played 4K/UHD/2160p videos for some time using built-in MediaCenter player, Kodi, Archos or SPMC (I use 1080p so cannot confirm personally).
Not sure what settings you are using but would suggest you look closely at the Video Settings in the HiMedia and changing defaults to suit your own TV?
-
YES I know now that the problem with kodi is only the UI, which shows max res. of 1080p but actually it plays 4k files. i tested it,
still it has the frame rate bug (frame rate is wrong for 4k files) there is a patch here, but only if one has Windows, and i am all mac.....and android 7
