Title: Q10-Pro - Help - my root directory is way too small
Post by: Sysop on May 23, 2017, 08:16:26 PM
Hello follow problem:

Q10-Pro on Android 7, only with Solid Explorer app installed:
Only 6,97 MB of 991,90 MB are free!

Q10-Pro on Androis 5, only with Solid Explorer app installed:
Only 24,79 MB of 774,89 MB are free!

My root is to little.
What is the problem?

How great are your root directory?

For example on my OnePlus 3x smartphone I have only 348 MB of 2 GB in use.

What can I do?
How can I repartition the internal memory so that root has more memory available?

Sorry for my bad english, you can also answer in german.

Thanks.

Try another app (not Solid Explorer)?
Those numbers do not appear to be correct at all for a Q10 Pro.

Best way I find to check, is using Samba network and then File Explorer on a network Windows PC to look at the /share/Android_xxxxx directory.

It cannot be true. Try with another app or even under Settings - Storage.

Now I re-read the first post and I understand it better. Why are you complaining about this? What do you want to put in root (/) directory? It is untouchable and it should be left alone like that, even with root.

@tmihai20
My problem for example is, I can't write completly the hosts file with the app AdAway.
On root is not enough free memory.
If I will write the hosts by manuell, not all lines are write into document (hosts file),
I copy the lines into the hosts and save this, getting a error, open the document and see
not all lines are include....
AdAway can not automaticly save the hosts, tell me problems with the memory.
This is my problem.
