Title: Using shaw free range tv app on Q5 pro
Post by: kLsmoove1 on May 17, 2017, 08:45:25 PM
I was able to successfully download install and use the shaw free range tv app on my older Q53D box and watch shaw free range from my account and everything works fine as long as I dont use an HDMI cord to plug into the tv if i use the yellow white and red audio video cords. My problem is I also have the new q5 pro and in order to get the app to play i had to downgrade to android 5.1 and it gives me the same error message "We're sorry. This video stream is not playable under the current device conditions. Please disconnect any external devices (including HDMI, screen mirroring, or casting devices) and try again." This is the same message I was getting on the older Q53D and i solved it by using the yellow white and red cords instead of HDMI but when I try to do the same with the Q5 Pro it doesn't work and gives me the same error message. Any suggestions?? Is there a setting on the new one that is different that I cant find that needs to be changed? I need help

Sorry just to add shaw free range tv is an app in Canada that allows you to watch live tv on any tablet, computer or phone as long as you have a paid subscription to shaw cable service.
