Title: Android 7 can't cet rid of virtual keyboard displayed
Post by: q10pro256 on May 05, 2017, 03:20:50 AM
I just upgraded to last android 7 version.

I have a physical keyboard and it works but I can't make it as default.
And I still get the upmost annoying virtual keyboard on display every time I type text.

How do you stop displaying virtual keyboard on Android 7?

This is one of the issues that HiMedia did not fix yet. I think @Futeko notified them. A partial solution is to install a different keyboard app (I use Swype on my other Androids) and to use this keyboard. It will show onscreen, but I think it can be made to disappear and you can type with the physical keyboard. I am still on 2.0.1 firmware, I am waiting for a newer firmware than 2.0.3, that is too buggy for my taste.

Workaround: This null keyboard app does what it says once selected.
