There is a fork of Kodi 16.1 floating around (with new Python) which got a very cool feature for us Q5/Q10 users. When you have a long list of movies in Kodi and you call the external player a confirmation dialog pops up in the background. When you try to click on it - the next movie starts. Very annoying.
FTMC (http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-support/general-tv-player-dicussions/xbmc-talk/575588-ftmc) fixes that. In the changelog it says:
[Extra] Disabled External Player confirmation dialog. Like this theirs no more need to press 'OK' every time it starts/stops the play of a video file! ( Thks mo123 for the tip ;) )
I've tested this version, and indeed the confirmation dialog is gone!

Thanks!
Sound great, it is based on the 16.1 KODI?! And does it have all the functionality working properly on Q10 Pro / Q5 Pro devices?! I could'n find any mention regarding Hisilicon chipset in it's description... Like does IPTV streaming work stutterless, like on the normal KODI 16.1?! :???

Auto Framerate Switching works fine and all add-ons works fine (I've tested it for a few weeks now). Don't know about IPTV - but I know that Kodi 17 is better in handeling IPTV then 16.
I normally use SPMC (with the new Python - 31 march version) - but this extra feature is for me the reason to switch to FTMC.
You don't have to uninstall SPMC or Kodi - it uses it's own directory... so testing is not a problem!

Thanks very much, why Kodi don't resolve this bug with external Player. Did we have a way for Kodi 17 !!!! It will be very very wonderful because The confirmation dialog "OK" is very pleasant. Thanks

Do we really need Kodi 17 :) with the new Python in FTMC the real reason a lot of us are switching to Kodi 17 (will not going into it - something with streaming and SSL ;) ) is now not really necessary.

Auto frame rate change does't work for me, what are your settings to get this?

Thanks!

Ok, but I would have some mayor questions regarding the usage:
Can you tell that on what KODI version is this based? 16.1 or 17, or some king of "hybrid"?! Also I don't know jet much about the "python" that you mentioned and what it's benefits would be...?!
IPTV TV steams (using Simple IP TV Add-On) is a must have for me, and it works quite well with KODI 16.1. As far as I know -on contrary what you said- the KODI 17 version has much issues with online streaming, like lagging and stuttering (on these Himedia Devices).
And what you meant by Auto Frame Switching is working? Did you use the KODI fps patch available here on Futeko, or is it working just "untouched" right after installing?!
Thanks for the reply!

HD Audio working?

FTMC is really created for boxes with Android < 5. These boxes can't install Kodi 17 so they are 'stuck' with Kodi 16 (whith Python < 2.7.9)
Python lower than 2.7.9 doesn't supports TLS 1.2 but more an more webpages are upgrading to this version. Python above 2.7.9 is able to open pages with TLS 1.2. In kodi 17 this is already included. What is means is that some add-ons will not work. For example I use a YouTube music add-on which get playlists from Spotify. Because Spotify now uses TLS 1.2 - the add-on gives an error in Kodi 16 and not in Kodi 17 (or in FTMC).
For Auto Frame Switching I use this method: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1015.0 ([PATCH] Auto framerate switching - KODI) and that works great with this version. Maybe it only works in Android 5 which I'm using (FW 1.0.9) - but if also tried 2.0.3 and that worked also (not 100% sure - got a lot of problems with Android 7).
Don't know if HD Audio is working. But you can install this version with Kodi/SPMC installed on your box. It doesn't replace these versions. So you can test this version and still use Kodi 17 etc.

Thanks!
If anyone would give a try to this FTMC fork and tend to use IPTV streaming, please report back here with your experiences if it's workable or not.
Thank you!

Can I import my Kodi library into this?
Yes - I made a backup (with Backup addon) from Kodi and import this backup into FTMC. Worked without any problems

I'm wondering if HD audio passthrough with streams works well with FTMC and does he not skipped streams like in Kodi 16.1?
