Not possible. You could try sticking something on top of it?
-
I use a black band ,_)

Thx!
I wondered if there was a software solution.
Anyway, I think the designers of a TV streaming box should consider that a blinking LED on the back is not what the users wanted!
Many of us have a dedicated light at the wall and this ethernet port flashing interferes with it.

Use WiFi :P

Why does this light keep flashing all night, even when I'm not using the box?

Why does this light keep flashing all night, even when I'm not using the box?
Because the LAN port is communicating with your router or switch.

serious? this is a LAN port. every lan port has these control light. impossible to switch off. stick something on it. or use wireless lan.

Hello to all. Here is a Q10 Pro on Android 7 and 2.0.3 official firmware. Connected ONLY by wifi, no LAN connection at all, but still LAN LED ALWAYS ON. Peculiar aspect, isn't it?

Incorrect.
There are LAN ports without lights.

YES serious! Why is it flashing at night when there is no lan traffic as the entire system is not in use then?

Maybe this can help a little bit:
https://www.quora.com/What-do-the-different-colors-of-lights-in-an-Ethernet-port-mean
The reasons the led is blinking even when there doesn't seem to be traffic, there still is traffic. If only for the remote device to see if the device is still available.

Thanks Alex, at last an answer that makes sense :)!

Doesn't help you with disabling the lights though. That would require custom code from HiMedia. Some ethernet adapters do let you turn off the lights but most don't and the reason is pure manufacturer choice.
-
Why does one of the leds in LAN port flashes even if nothing is plugged?
-
Instead of posting and complaining here you should put some black tape over it. The LED can only be disabled via BIOS and only where BIOS allows it. There is always traffic even if no cable is connected to wired ethernet, as someone else already explained.

absolutely it,s a bad Android management of the port.
Other operative systems don t do that.

Disconnect your box from power when not using, then you have no lights and it save your electric money!
