Title: LAN Server Error with android7 version 2.03
Post by: pablito on April 15, 2017, 09:39:55 AM
Hello, I installed android7 to version 2.03. In mediacenter you give LAN and autosearch and find nothing. Not adding server.
You know some solution. I'm with windows 10.
With KODI I can not connect through samba either

Not sure what causes this, but it's been mentioned occasionally for all firmware versions.

The solution is to allocate a fixed IP to the share and enter details manually.

My update to firmware 2.0.3 did not change NAS or Samba operations (from 2.0.1).  All works fine still  :)
I agree with @Admin that a fixed IP will normally fix Windows network issues.

The updated Android allocated new ID's for my internal and attached USB HDD's so your Windows may be looking in the wrong place or has seen it as a new device and allocated a new IP.  This can also create firewall and/or anti-virus software issues from Windows blocking network access to new IP.

2.0.3 seems to have some serious issues with LAN. See http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1966.0 for similar problems that only occur in 2.0.3.
I hope futeko fix this as soon as possible as HiMedia Player is not bad at all - on the contrary, it's best player if you care about quality (full audio passthrough, HDR,...) and don't miss/need all the glamour of Kodi player.
