IMPORTANT! THIS FIRMWARE IS FOR EUROPEAN Q10 4K3D (MANUFACTURED AFTER NOVEMBER 2014) ONLY. DO NOT TRY AND FLASH IT TO OTHER REGION Q10 4K3D.
Installation Instructions:
1. Extract update.zip to the root of a USB pen drive (so the USB pen drive should contain a single file named update.zip).
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of the Q10 4K3D.
3. With the Q10 4K3D turned off, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole restore button on the back of the Q10 4K3D.
4. While keeping the restore button pressed, turn on the Q10 4K3D.
5. Keep the restore button pressed until you see an Android droid logo.
6. Release the button and the firmware upgrade will proceed.
7. The box will auto-reboot when finished.

The problem with F10 Pro is that audio is routed to the speaker in airmouse. It needs a setting in HiMedia firmware to select audio output. HiMedia are aware. 1.0.9.1 was just a quick release to solve the 3D problem.
I would recommend the F10 (without speaker), or Rii Mini i8+.

Has anyone else noticed after this update the clock is stuck on 24 hour time setting, And under settings date & time there is no longer a ticbox to disable 24 hour time ?

i don't understand why in the q5 i can't set a time by myself..... i can only set on internet.....if im not connected....every time i turn on the q5 the time start to 00:00 ....
why?

I don't see the 23,976 fps ,where is it?.

Set output to 24p and it will play 23.976 files at 23.976hz.

After upgrading to 1.0.9.1, I copied 4 filmes from the computer to Himedia Q10 Hard disc, and two of them not picture looks, yes audio and subtitles, but image will not, unless you continue your cursor right, then if the video appears.
What is happening?.
I checked the films in computer and play without any problem.

If i play these filmes whit himediawraper no appears image,whith DVD player form Kodi no problem,why?

Set 1080p 24hz by going Settings - Playback. It's the second option from the bottom.
For the files that won't play, what format are they? If possible can you either point me to a location where I can download a sample or post the mediainfo results (https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo)?

MKV is what's called a container. It can contain media in any format. What I need to know is the codec used for video + audio inside the MKV. The mediainfo app will analyse the MKV and report what's inside.

As i see, lots of mkv X264 or x265, we have in the last firmware some little cut when we try to read a movie and with my test we have the same way in the LAN sharing and same in Kodi way. We have this little cut with the various times, unequal way.

I am very new to this area. I have been using a WD unit up to this point which does not have issues with cinavia, but was wanting something that will also play 3D, etc. I understand that the HiMedia Q10 4K 3D is basically the same unit as a klinks A300. Does the HiMedia Q10 4K 3D (software?) have cinavia protection or have issues playing mkv, iso, etc video with cinavia protection? This may be common knowledge to most, but again I'm new to this area. Thanks for your help.

What are the main differences between the Q10 4K3D and the Q5 4K3D? Are they pretty much the same except for the internal hard drive? Thanks.

None of the HiMedia products have Cinavia. They'll play anything.
Differences between Q10 and Q5 are that Q10 has internal 3.5" SATA bay, more external ports, internal cooling fan, touch buttons on the front. The core hardware (chipset/RAM etc) is the same.

Hi, how do I know my Q10 is which region? I bought it in Malaysia and the model number is Q10EN.2000 with HMD-1.0.7 2015-01-17 Build number. Kernal version is 3.10.0_s40

Does the pre-installed firmware have the HiTV HiMedia app? If it does then it's the Chinese hardware. I don't know if it's possible to identify region based on model number.

I'm new to this unit. Is there a manual in English? I can't figure out how to get the unit to play a video from the usb drive. I'm assuming that you don't have to have a drive installed in the internal drive bay. Thanks for the help.

I have been told that there will be a new M3 / Q5 / Q10 4K3D firmware at the end of this week. It will fix the audio dropout problem. More details when Himedia release it.

The new 3.0.1 (!) firmware for Q10 will be ready and available to download here TODAY.

I know. It's a very different firmware though. Same base but everything else is different.
Q10 version of new firmware may squeeze out later today.
