Title: USB External Hard Drive Support on Q5

Can you attach an external hard drive via the USB ports to store videos to watch anytime (mkv files)?  And what would be the maximum external drive size be?

Yes. You can attach any USB drive (flash/SSD/SATA in enclosure) up to 8TB per drive.

Multiple drives can be attached using a hub so there is almost no practical upper storage limit. If using multiple drives you'll need either powered drives or a powered hub.

My brother-in-law uses a WD My Book Duo 16Tb plugged into his  ;D (which has 2 WD Red drives internally).
