				Hi All
Has anyone managed to connected to their NAS using the LAN option under Hi Media Player?
The Auto Search detects the NAS but when I click on it i just get the LAN title at the top of the screen and nothing else. I have tried manual settings also to no avail. I would appreciate if anyone has any insight into this?
Cheers

Yes.  Both under MediaCenter (Android 5.1 & 7) and Kodi 16.1 & 17).  I have multiple NAS drives and all were detected. It may be a network issue.  Does your NAS have a fixed IP address and could a firewall/anti-virus be stopping access?  How about network password?  Try looking closely at your network for problems.

Yes my Q10 connects using Twonky software on the server. Initially as you found it didn't find the server, what I had to do was to ensure that the Q10 was connected via the ethernet connection under the settings first as it normally automatically connects via the wireless connection on switch on.

Auto Detect shows my NAS as well but when I click it, the Q10 fails to connect.  I expected it to request a user name and password.
However, if I use the option to manually add my NAS, it requests the server name (I enter the same one shown by auto detect) and I can also enter a folder name, user name and password.  Doing it this way works for me.  For what it's worth, I have a Synology 1515+

Did you solve it? If not, I had a similar issue in combination with my Synology 1511+. To find shares, the firewall in the NAS needs to be disabled. Once you have defined the "LAN-shortcuts" you can enable firewall again. On my Synology NAS, granting full permissions to my Himedia Q5 didn't help at all - i.e. Firewall must be disabled temporarily. Also, after rebooting Himedia, you sometimes may have to disable the firewall and reconnect with each of your LAN-shortcuts you previously made. Then you can disable the Firewall once again. That's how my Q5 Pro rolls.
