which firmware version allows to download subtitles, if no, when that will be rapaired.

You would have to go back to 1.0.1.5 , which I would not recommend.

Egreat say auto online subtitle download for Egreat media center will be restored in future but not sure when.

In the meantime you could use Vidon and one of the Kodi subtitle add-ons.
