Title: Video Problem confirm all hdd media keeps stopping 15-20 mins
Post by: trickstar74 on March 01, 2017, 11:51:32 AM
Hello everyone. I just received my q10 today and upon trying to play several 1080p files mad Max fury Road, Warcraft and others I can never go more than 20 minutes or so before it stops and I get this message: video problem  confirm. I have played through kodi using wrapper and from media center and both crash. I have done a search on this error message and have had no luck getting any answers. Can you please advise why this is happening?

From where are you playing the files? LAN? Samba/NFS/DLNA?

As a test, can you try and play a file from attached USB storage?

I had had a chance to tinker a bit more. I had 2x 3tb desktop hard drives, and 2x 2tb portable hard drives all USB 3.0 plugged into the USB 3.0 port of the Q10, all through a powered 7 port USB 3.0 hub.

I tried playing those movies previously mentioned in my last email and each kept crashing and showing the "video problem" confirm error message after about 20 minutes or so multiple times.

On a hunch I disconnected all the drives and connected the Toshiba 2tb portable and played mad Max again all the way through without a hitch. I connected the 2tb WD portable hard drive today and played Warcraft all the way through as well without a hitch.

Does this issue sound familiar? Does the himedia not like multiple drives being fed through one port?

I hope this give you enough info.

Have you tried plugging your hub into one of the other USB ports?
HD video playback only requires USB 2.0 speeds in any event.
