Title: Can't turn off Q5 pro
Post by: dungtv on February 28, 2017, 06:36:36 AM
My Q5 pro is running FW update_Q5Pro_(WIPE&update&themed)_HMD-2.0.1 2017-01-11.164329
When I press the power button on the remote control to turn off my device, it only disconnect the signal to TV and not really shutdown . So I can't turn on it again by remote after that.

How to fix this problem ?

My unit does that when I'm turning it off using Rii remote. With default remote it turns off normally.

My Q10 also does not turn off by Rii 25 remote controler. When I press the power key on my remote, picture on my TV turns off but Q10 still works.
he only solution is to turn off the player pulling the plug from the socket. it is not normal.

The power button on the Rii remote can be programmed to replicate the IR function of the original remote. Without it being programmed it replicates the power button on a keyboard, which in Q10 Pro enters the box into standby (a mode Q10 Pro is not designed to support). See here: http://www.futeko.com/simg/mx3-m%20user%20guide.jpg Programming the power button results in a power button that works for turning off most of the time, however, for reasons I am yet to determine, it still sometimes triggers standby. The 100% consistent way to turn Q5/Q10 Pro off with Rii remote is to install CS custom firmware and use the software power button it places on the home screen. This always works and the Rii can always 100% consistently be used to turn box back on.
