Title: Having real problems with stuttering whichever version of kodi I use
Post by: Strangeland16 on February 24, 2017, 10:13:25 AM
When I first got my q5pro I upgraded to android 7.0  and kodi 17 and had problems with stuttering I turned of mediacodec and still had the issue. So I went back to kodi to 16.1 . And I can't get a add on film yo stream without stuttering do I have to turn mediacodec off with this version also ??. The only thing I haven't tried os downgrading the android version again is this a kodi issue a faulty box or android 7 isue . Before this box I had a minix neo 8 plus and had no probs with streaming anything. But this box is disappointing me so far which is a shock. Can anyone suggest something as I'm tearing my hair out

You shouldn't have any problems with Kodi 16.1 on either Android version, but I'm not an expert on streaming add-ons.

You could try installing Android 5.1.1. It may play nicer with the add-ons you're using.

Hi,

I had the same problem, Installed Android 5.1.1 and Kodi 16.1 and the problem was gone.

Don't think there's a one size fits all solution, think its a combination of the software and hard ware
