I upgrade to Android 7 again...
The problem now... every file from my NAS playback fails... from usb drive everything is working fine.
Under the old android 5.5.x with Kodi 16.x everything was fine...
Whats the problem? I changed nothing in the network. Added the upnp path from the NAS (found everything) but after trying to start (MKV) this fucked up.
please help.

Futeko wrote me wrapper doesn't work under UPNP/DLNA.
You must use Samba (or NFS but with a trick).

wrote you?
i hope this is a bug...and it will be patched...
thanks for your answer.
which trick you used for NFS?
I never worked with samba or NFS ... :-(

That's what I wanted to say when I answered "Futeko wrote me":

Wrapper is for Samba / NFS shares only.
If you enable either Samba or NFS on your NAS you shouldn't have any problems. I think the trick LeoL referred to is to create persistent mountpoints for the shares in the Android filesystem. This is an alternative way of accessing the shares and can be useful if you run into problems with the standard way. See here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=813.0

And DLNA is mostly useful for when the "display" is unable to decode the movie.
Q5/10 Pro is more than capable to decode any movie and it offers features not available in any DLNA software - choosing audio track, choosing subtitle track, adjust timing etc. Plus better image quality!
And you have one dedicated CPU to do the job. Synology is smart enough, but it is well optimized for file transfer rather for decoding videos. And why not using a CPU build for this purpose but split the load between Q10 and Synology?
You're trying a feature that has more drawbacks than benefits. And it doesn't work in your case. And this is for the better, configure your system to use SMB or NFS and forget about DLNA.

Hi. Ok understand.
I my Synology i created a nfs share.
Going back to kodi...add it as source...found it. Set name and save.
Than i go to this folder again...see it...BUT there is no folder structure inside. When i click on it nothing happens...
I the video folder on the nas there are a lot of sub folders. In these folders are the *.mkv
But Kodi "can't see it"...
Mhh what is wrong?

Do follow this instructions step by step and it will definitely work. http://kodi.wiki/view/NFS#Synology_DSM_5.1
You can map privileges to read-only and it will still work.
I have no troubles whatsoever accessing from Q10 Pro with Android 7 and final Kodi 17 my shares on both Synology units. As player I'm using wrapper because of image quality but that implies some subtitles issue (hopefully those ones will be fixed in the next Himedia release, whenever that will be).

That's an excellent Kodi NFS FAQ. I will add a link to it to the FAQ here.
