Title: Rooting - HiMedia Q10 Pro - Android 7 - via macOS10 download
Post by: roskruge on February 16, 2017, 09:40:34 AM
Wish to Root - HiMedia Q10 Pro - So far have downloaded the files: SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815 and SuperSU-v2 1.78-201609011115 via Mac OS 10 transferred to Fat32 flash drive also, but HiMedia just does a restart in the basic Android 7 OS . SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815 and SuperSU-v2 1.78-201609011115 consist of 9 folders each, do  I transfer all 9 to the flash drive ?, if so its not working. It goes without saying that I press the reset button for 5 seconds after power on. Had no trouble upgrading from Android 5.1.1. to 7.0 using the reset button.

Rooting using that method requires a Windows PC.
