Hi
Anyone else have issues playing back HEVC encoded MKV files? Any resolution?
I just get back screen and audio.
MP4s work fine. This is both Himedia player and kodi.

No problem with HEVC MKV using Himediplayer. Try the 'Tears of Steel' demo on this page: http://www.h265files.com/

That plays fine using either Himediaplayer or Kodi (15.0 beta).

Can you provide a link to a file that isn't playing or the mediainfo (https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo) report for it?

The problem was it was a 10 bit file.
10 bit 1080p and higher do not play via hardware decoding, you get a black video screen in both Himedia player and kodi.
