I've been trying out a couple of external video players.
- MX Player Pro works well but, as most of my movies are ISO images, it's not much use to me.
- VLC is my first choice on my computer, tablet and smartphone but I'm struggling to get it working on my Q10! It can't find the files on the hard disk. I've tried typing in several variation on file path but all have failed. Can anyone give me the correct path?

It is better if the Hisilicon SDK moduls are implemented better then the linux kernel modules. Do we have any proof about that?

:o ???? I just wanted the correct path to the movie files to set the directory in VLC
........../sda2/Video/movies

Finally got it working. The paths I was giving were too long, a simply /mnt was all that was needed.

Just use Kodi

Just use Kodi
Kodi might be good at telling me which movies I've watched and which I haven't, which are recent, or even give me the weather forecast (why do I need the weather forecast before I watch a movie? Why not the latest football scores or share prices or local train times ...???), all "bells and whistles" which are irrelevant to me! "Never mind the quality, feel the width!"
Read all the other comments here about the built-in players and you will know why people are using external players.
