AFTER crash my Q10 has been restarted with this screen.
kodi does not start
the icons are incorrect.
and I don't know how many more problems there are.
I have tried an update but after the robot logo stops immediately and appears on the screen: "error!" and restarts immediately.
I tried: 1.0.7 - 1.0.9 2.0.1
I tried different usb sticks, and USB ports

How did the crash happen?
What firmware did you have installed when the initial crash happened?
If you reboot the box with the upgrade button on back pressed (nothing in USB ports) what happens? Do you get green robot or circle icon?
In general, if you experience a crash installing many firmwares repeatedly is not a good idea because installing the wrong firmware can cause additional problems.

After I installed and started rai replay app
I'm on Cs firmware 1.0.9
I've restarted without USB Pen and reset pin pressed. I have robot logo

Check in Setting/About/Device info if model is still reported Q10Pro.
Please try other USB Pen, fresh formatted FAT32, with official HMD 1.0.7 update.zip file, check from Menu update if update.zip is recognize and follow restore process.

If you can't install an update then something has gone seriously wrong.
There is no alternative recovery method so the box will have to go back to your reseller. If that's us then mail@futeko.com.

Try installing the migration firmware.
Different Bootloader might help.

So, I was performing the firmware upgrade from 1.0.8 to 2.0.1 very carefully as instructed by the post in this forum, box is in a cool equipment area, fed from a clean UPS for power. Got the Android upgrade screen, progress bar was moving. Stepped away to help my daughter, and when I came back I was at the HIMEDIA boot screen. Left it boot.. and waited.. and waited. Wouldn't go past that boot screen, left it a couple of hours. Then powered off and then back on, still stuck on the boot screen (says boot on the LCD display too).. left it an hour again, no go. Tried leaving it unplugged overnight (clutching at straws!).. no change.
I've tried the upgrade again, when pressing the upgrade button, the LCD changes to 0000, but still displays the HIMEDIA logo and no activity light on my USB thumb drive. Tried several sticks, several firmware versions, no dice. Stuck on 0000 if I've used the upgrade button.. stuck on boot if I haven't.
Any ideas, anything I can try? Hooking it up to my laptop maybe? Help!
Thanks,
Dan

Try installing firmware 1.0.7. It is slightly different to other firmware in that it repartitions the internal storage.
Make sure USB stick is correctly formatted (FAT32) and that the update.zip file is extracted from our archive according to instructions.

I registered to post about the same problem that I am facing. the issue is that I think the TS and myself cannot install another firmware as the 0000 screen does not read the usb thumbdrive and initiate firmware installation.

There is nothing we can do remotely if the box won't boot or recognise a valid update file.
If you bought the products from us please email for RMA.

ferrofist is spot on.. it now won't read any of my (correctly formatted) USB drives.. very disappointing.

Hi.
It has happened to me, I do not know what I did wrong, but when I made the firmware change, it has been left in black and white and with the android icons, just like in the previous photos.
I have tried to return to the original firmware and still do the same.
Is there any way to recover the Q10? Please help me, thank you.

I don't know the reason why this has happened for some users, but there have been thousands of successful FW 2.0.1 installs so it's not typical.
Please ensure you download firmware only from this forum and follow our instructions precisely.
In this situation (Q10 Pro failed update from Android 5.1.1 to Android 7) the only thing you can do is to try installing Android 5.1.1 firmware 1.0.7 or the Android 5.1.1 migration firmware.

If that doesn't work you will have to return to your reseller.
If you bought the item from us then we'll accept it back and fix it. mail@futeko.com

So what was the "stupid mistake"?
So that we will not fall for it?

Not sure why my and the OP's posts got merged. Ferrofist and my issue is clearly not the same as madmicio's.

The advice to fix it is exactly the same.
Try installing Android 5.1.1 firmware 1.0.7 or the Android 5.1.1 migration firmware

What mistake had you made then?

I state that it is not the first time that I update my q10, but this time I have downloaded the file and simply renamed to "upgrade.zip" as update my smartphone. so when I tried to update the q10 could not read the contents of files Upgrade.zip
careless mistake, but I repeated the process several times before I realized the mistake
