I've just installed my 2TB HDD into my Q10 and want to put some films on it.
How can I transfer data from my PC to the Q10 HDD over my network ? I only see the sdcard in my windows browser.
Is there a way ?
Many thanks

go to setting and enable SAMBA
-
Ive done that and I cant see my HDD in windows ???
Samba is running on Q10 - How do i connect to it ?
-
The drive should be visible as a normal Samba share.
ANDROID_CAB2/share/sda/sda1 for Q10 internal HDD
and
ANDROID_CAB2/share/sdb/sda1,2,3 etc for attached USB storage.

I've only got the sd card share folder showing up.
Not sure what's wrong

How are you format HD ? NFS? Ext3? How many partition?
With file manager ( android app) on q10 you see hd and folder?

Hello,
We can see the Samba drive share in Windows 7 in my computer but we can't make movies copy in theis drive:
\\ANDROID_991C2\share\sda\sda1\Films
Tell me that no enough space to copy some movies or others. So did you have a solution for that without to remove the hard disk and make all the time copy.
I have yet at least more than 3 Tera Octet
Thanks a lot.

This thread is about the same issue: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=92.0
It's a quirk related to how Android mounts the HDD as part of the file system. The total space reported through Samba is the total size of the file system and not the drive. If you can use a file copy app that can ignore the warnings then the files will copy OK. I will push Himedia again to see if this can be changed.

Thanks a lot Futeko, just to know how to use the FTP like Filezilla for example about the login and password we have to use for transfering file from Windows PC to the Hard disk Himedia connected. Thanks a lot
And yes if Himedia can resolve this way, it will be nice for all of us and easy for everbody. ;)

Yeah any info you can give in how to use ftp will help
-
any news on this problem?

I've mounted the share as a network drive and use FastCopy to copy over. Here's the portable version.

Come to think of it, I also had this issue when I wanted to transfer from OSX to HiMedia and I used TrolCommander to do the job.
