Hello.
Has anybody had problems like mine?
Q10 Pro (euro) FW 109
When I switch unit off the screen goes black byt the timedisplay is lit and it is not possible to turn it on/off without disconnecting powercable.
I tried reinstalling FW 109 again but problem persists.
Maybe I should go back to 108 if that is possible?
Any response greatly appreciated.

Can you clarify how this would be replicated?
pcristi, if you know how/why this happens can you please either post here or PM me so I can tell HiMedia. Thanks.

I don't know why him have problems, but are just few f/w witch rewrite all partition, HMD-1.0.7 is one of them, this is why I recommended to reinstall with HMD-1.0.7 inside of HMD-1.0.8/1.0.9.

Thanks for the explanation. I have reported this to HiMedia but without more info and steps to replicate it's going to be impossible to fix.
So my advice would be to install 1.0.7 to rewrite partitions and then install 1.0.9.

My unit is running Android 7 is this exact thing happens like 3 out of 5 turn offs. I tried playing nice, like don't turn it off while the final movie credits are still playing, stop the movie, exit from Kodi or hit back button to main interface from Media Center.
Often enough TV sees no signal from HDMI but the unit is on, at least the main display shows the time.
I didn't try to see if I can access it from LAN, but I can test anything if you thing is useful. Just tell me what should I try or if it's possible to capture a bug and how to capture it before removing the power from it.
Late edit: unit doesn't react to any of 2 remotes.

Thanks.
Install with restore means pushing resetbutton?
In that case maybe it's a better alternative to migrate to Android 7 if all my settings will be lost anyway...

drabisan, same problem as you with both remotes. Mine is not available via LAN when this happens.
Still have to pull powercable to reboot.

I'll try normal install 107 and then 109 thru normal menu install (not pushing reset on back) and see what happens.
I'll post back when I'm done.

android 7.
It happened only one time.
-
Nope!
Did not work just installing 107 normal way.
Will try total reset and see what happens...

Well...so it worked installing 107 with reset and back to 109, now it turns off as intended.
Gonna have fun remaking all medialibrary...maybe think next time and make some kind of backup.
However, now wallpaper doesn't work :P ...fuck it, I can live with that!
/Janne out.

I had the same issue of Black screen and no possibility to shut off the System. Only thing to do was to pull the power cord. Only in my situation it didn't happen with switching off the unit. But with heading back from streaming movie to main menu kodi. I was really angry because nowadays you can't buy a product anymore Without flaws. Or am I oldfashion :-\
My setup
Android 5.1.1.
Kodi 16.1
Himedia firmware HMD-1.0.9.

I have to say that I am experiencing this same issue recently, but with previous box Q10 4K3D (I di not own Q10 PRO).
It happens at times after watching downloaded series episodes, when pressing back button. I have to do tests with the films. Strange...
